We're all ready for our bank holiday weekend away in Herefordshire, when we introduce our parents to each other. Really looking forward to a few days away first time for ages, working weekends limits the times we can get away. Many thanks to Naomi for looking after things in our absence. We need to make the most of it as the next few weeks will be very busy, with Sassy's puppies due. We have old sheds to take down and clear away and the hay shed to repair for winter. The stables need wood preservative on as someone had power washed the old stuff off and the roof also need refelting and we also need a new aviary for the Owl. That should keep us going for a bit lol

News
Another busy weekend, we've completely replaced the fence in the back field Thankyou to our good friend Natalie Spiller for helping us out. The lambs are now out in the field, they've grown so much since we got them. Be glad of a rest next weekend when we're off to Herefordshire for a family get together and introducing Ali's parents to mine.

Futher afield and just a week in his new home Monkey went to a companion dog show with his new Mum and won Best Puppy...well done our Monkey Man. We're looking forward to catching up with him in a couple of weeks when we're up that way for a visit to Appleby Horse Fair and of course when we go to Border Union. Looking forward to getting back in the ring.

A new Inmate
Even a bird wanted a piece of the action.
Yes Max you're still my best mate!!!!
The new lad named Dream, isn't ours he belongs to some new horsey friends and as we have too much grazing and no desire to have any more horses of our own we thought it would be nice to have some friends here to share. Looking forward to some great fun rides together.

A wee poem inspired by someone I know.
There are so many taken in by you,
they listen to the crap you spew.
They really are not up to speed,
on truth and lies as you deceive.
You spout out lines of twisted tales,
like a dodgy dealer at the car sales.
You say what folks would like to hear,
while your treachery has no fear.
You paint your picture, it's so distorted,
Afraid the real one will be reported.
The words come out but do not say,
the truth behind what you portray.
You take from people day after day,
then spin more lines when you cannot pay.
You spare not a thought for all the tears,
cried by so many people you've owed for years.
You bend the facts for your own gain.
How is it that you feel no pain?
LIAR!!!

Updates
Another trip to the vets with Millie this morning and a urine sample that could have found its own way there (eewwww) General opinion is that she has a nasty water infection so hopefully will be back to her old self soon. Bloods were normal so that is good news. Of course Millie being ill meant I couldn't leave her so my plans to take Big Lottie to Stratford on Avon to be mated had to change. I needed to find a local dog and fast and thankfully Natalie Holtappel came to our rescue and so Lottie has been mated to Bryning Bright Spark. Thanks Natalie and Spark who goes back to my dear old Kizzy albeit quite a way it's nice to know that my first Border collie litter in 5 years will be decendants of my best ever girl :-)

Some Days you just have to take the rough with the smooth.
A day of concern for our Millie who had a seizure this afternoon. She's been odd for a few days but nothing I could put my finger on. Obviously I took her straight to the vets. They found nothing obvious but took some blood for tests. She's sleeping now which is more than I'll do till the test results come back.

The good news today is that our Freddie is now finally ours. Freddie came on loan to teach Alistair to ride and they've made such a great pair so when his owner said she needed to sell him we decided we didn't want him to go anywhere else and we bought him.

A special Gift
Rohan is a lovely Registered Welsh Sec A yearling colt who will be joining us soon.
He has been given to us by his owner Tracy Salmon having and we're over the moon with him. He has a beautiful head, lovely free flowing elevated paces......oh listen to me I feel a few local shows coming on. It's so many years since I've owned a welshy, the plan is hopefully to keep him entire and of course to drive him when he's old enough.
