Lottie's Check up

Our vet is delighted with Lottie's progress today. She is now back up to 5.2 kilos. We are now reducing the steroid dose to 1 a day and we will see how it goes. I'm praying the steroids keep working for a long time to come. She is such a fighter and nowhere near ready to give up yet.

JJ's page.

I have been asked by my website service provider to remove JJ's page from my site due to complaints one can only assume from either the person who I let him to go and never paid for him or the person they sold him on too . Either way the facts remain that I have never been paid for JJ and I will not go away until I have been.

Lottie Update

Ringo and Lottie this evening
~~~~~~~~~
Really pleased with Lottie's progress after only 5 days on steriods she is already very much stronger and eating well. She is almost back to her bouncy self. Today we have started her on various herbal supplements to help. We have no idea how long the steroids will work and we know they can stop working as fast as they started. So we are just enjoying the time we have with Lottie and know that every day is a bonus. She is coping with this a lot better than me that is for certain. She doesn't know how ill she is.
Litter planned for March 2012
Fingers crossed we will be having a lovely Crestie litter mid March 2012
Joyways Vampire Kiss ex Glanzvoll's Miss Tyque.
I decided to do this mating now as Tia had been clipped out so I thought she may aswell have her litter while her coat was still short so I don't need to clip her again.
More info on the planned litters page of our Website.
Lottie Update
After a great deal of research online and from past experiences albeit with older dogs and with total agreement from the vet I decided to treat Lottie with steroids. I realised this is only a short term fix but I would rather have that and make it count than put her through the stresses of chemo and regular veterinary visits. Anyone who knows Lottie well will understand why I would not put her through that. If someone would guarantee a cure I would sell everything I own to keep her but in reality I have to do what is best for her. This little girl has been my rock for nearly 7 years since I started hand rearing her at 10 days old and I love her so much. She is now on her 2nd day of steroids and is already so much brighter and is eating well. However long we have together now is precious and I'm sure my Ali, family and friends will understand that the world does revolve around her at the moment. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. I will keep you all posted. xxx
Lottie
Today we have had the worse news we could imagine. Our lovely Lottie has leukemia. She has been unwell for about 3 months and the first vets we took her too diagnosed an infection due to a couple of rotten teeth. I was not happy with this diagnosis as she continued to deteriorate and I took her to another vet recommended by a friend. After more tests we now know she has leukemia. We now have tonight to think about what we want to do next with regards to treatments. It is so hard to think straight when your heart is broken.
