Today saw a new arrival into our herd. Jack is a 16.2hh TB ex racehorse owned by our friend and housemate Natalie Holtappel (Well it had to happen eventually once she'd been out for a ride). Jack is a stunning boy, hope you have lots of fun with him Natalie.

Ollie
I have come to the decision to have Ollie (Joyway's Vampire Kiss) neutered at the end of the summer (as he has a couple of girls booked to him before then) He gets so stressed over bitches and we have so many girls I've decided it's not fair to him and he will be happier neutered. I have 3 (possibly 4) fabulous Ollie kids to continue his lovely lines with. He will remain at limited stud until Aug/Sept 2012.

Busy Day
A busy and exhausting day yesterday at the Border Collie Club of GB show with Natalie. Entered Ringo for North Links Dog Club show as it was at the same venue and got Best of Breed with Ringo, but sadly missed the group. Then had some of the gang Eye Tested. Fortune (who is a PLL carrier) was eye tested clear. Ringo, Brum, Maddie and Sadie were all Glaucoma tested clear so a great day. Nat's dogs all passed their eye tests and Preston and Spark both got 2nds in their classes so a good day all round. Even more good news when we got home as Ringo's brother had also won Res Best Puppy in Show at Woowich and Blexley. Well done the boys.

Neo, A happy ending
A many people know in Autumn 2010 I was in an almost impossible situation with my living arrangements and very sadly felt no other option than to rehome some of my animals. The Tomas and Flick story is already well known with both of them having been sold on within weeks of me rehoming them. Imagine my horror to find that poor Neo had also had to go through a load of shit as and indirect result of these so called friends actions (No they didn't force me to get rid of my animals but their actions meant decisions had to be made in haste). The pic above was taken of Neo a few weeks before he was sold. I believed he had gone to a good knowledgable home however was aware that several months later his owners wanted to sell him on. I then lost touch with Neo until a couple of weeks ago when with the help of Facebook I managed to track him down to his present owner Zoe. However the story was not a totally happy one at first.
Above was Neo the day Zoe bought him. I was devastated to see these pics and can't believe I got it wrong when rehoming him aswell. This poor horse was underweight and considering this pic was taken in summer he still had his winter coat due to the neglect he had suffered. I do hope a certain person is happy with herself as had it not been for her Neo would never have left me.
Finally above the happy ending, Neo now in his present home, looking fit, well and happy again. Well done Zoe you have done the boy proud. Another revelation from all this is that Neo is not 17 years old as we were led to believe but is actually in his 20's. So many liars in the world eh. Mind you wouldn't think so seeing him action. So glad you're happy Neo x
